3PL / WMS software

Teapplix ActionShip supports integration with a growing list of external system including many 3PL / MWS software. We can automatically submit orders to the MWS software, and download the shipping info with tracking number.

Linking 3PL Accounts

You link 3PL accounts under Integrations -> 3PL. Teapplix is typically restricted to one 3PL account per type, but for EccangWMS we can link multiple accounts.

Warehouse Selection

After you link a 3PL account, your first step will be to enable some warehouses under that 3PL. These warehouses will be shown in Teapplix menu to submit order into and to download inventory quantity from.

3PL Methods Configuration

Once you enable your warehouses, the "Configure Ship Method" section shows the services / ship methods from the 3PL warehouses that you can use. Once you checkbox the ship methods and save, those ship methods will be shown in Teapplix UI to be assigned to orders before you submit the order to the 3PL.

Reverse Ship Method Mapping

Normally when you submit an unshipped order to 3PL, you assign the 3PL native ship method first to order before you submit. However, sometimes this is not feasible.

For example, some orders you print the shipping label first, then submit the order with the label to 3PL. In such case, you cannot assign a 3PL ship method. Instead, you must use Teapplix native method to print the label.

To make such order submit work, you can define ship method mapping, that maps a Teapplix native ship method to a 3PL ship method. This can be done on a 'per integration' basis.

Teapplix utilize this mapping on order submit, if a native Teapplix ship method is assigned to the order, this mapping allows us to compute the 3PL ship method used for order submit.

Downloading Tracking Numbers From 3PL

After an open order is submitted to 3PL, Teapplix will periodically ask the 3PL for shipping status. Once such order is shipped in the 3PL, we try to obtain ship carrier, ship method and tracking # from the 3PL.

Here again, we utilize the ship method mapping established above. When a 3PL shows a native ship method, we use our mapping to map to a Teapplix native ship method and carrier. That way we can mark the order as shipped.

If such mapping is not found, we will use some default mapping pre-established between Teapplix and the 3PL. Typically, Teapplix establishes mapping rules for USPS, FEDEX and UPS.

Some marketplaces require not only the carrier, but also ship method to precisely mark an order as shipped. In such case you are best served to establish per method mapping between 3PL and Teapplix.

Item Mapping

Item mappings are specific to a 3PL integration, and maps a Teapplix SKU to a 3PL SKU. This mapping is only needed if the SKU are different, and are used for submit order and inventory quantity download.

Naturally, we want a Teapplix SKU to map to one and only one 3PL warehouse SKU per 3PL warehouse. On the flip side, if 2 different Teapplix SKU maps to the same 3PL warehouse SKU, the inventory quantity on the warehouse SKU will "duplicate" in ActionShip® on both SKUs. Here is an example:

Teapplix SKU                            Warehouse SKU

T1                                                 W

T2                                                 W

In this case, orders with item T1 and T2 will both ship out W from the warehouse. If W has quantity of 10, then both T1 and T2 in ActionShip will have quantity of 10.

Quantity Download

If you have InventoryAdvisor, ActionShip will download quantity from 3PL Warehouse to ActionShip. This will only happen when you turn on "Multi Warehouse" and create specific warehouse for each 3PL warehouse instance.
