Setup – Address Validataion

FedEx uses separate services "Ground" or "Home Delivery" depending on if an address is residential. There are different price and weight limits.

Teapplix ActionShip offers 2 choices on how to detect an address is residential vs business:

• FedEx Address Validation - this is run automatically right before each label generation and the result is used. If no result is returned from FedEx, then the current Teapplix database setting is used.
• Teapplix Address Validation - this is run manually and saves the results into Teapplix database. The result is then used to select the proper FedEx service

You set the validation preferences on Integrations => Carriers => FedEx. Depending on residential status, ActionShip will automatically switch between Ground vs Home Delivery.
